Autumn/Winter '16 Trends : Fall Essentials
05:03
Hey there beautiful souls!
Time just passes by so quickly. It's the end of October already with the festive season all around. Diwali is the most amazing festival with beautiful lights everywhere, sweets, new clothes, rangoli, yummy food and loved ones. People celebrate this festival with firecrackers which I personally don't approve of. So, I request everyone to make it an eco-friendly diwali for all. Instead, just get a box of sweets and give it to those who can't afford one and make their diwali better.
Anyway, enough with the festive vibes. Here, in Delhi, it's just started to get a bit chilly in the evenings which means winters are approaching slowly. So, in today's post, I'm going to share some of the fall trends 2016/17.
1. Trench/Duster Coats
It is the perfect outerwear with any outfit. You can just throw it over with any and every thing. They never go out of fashion. Celine, Balenciaga, Lanvin all amped up their layering game.
2. Shearling
It is one of the most trending item this fall. You can find it everywhere from stores such as Zara, H&M to Burberry fall runways. It is definitely a must in your closet this season.
3. Velvet
Velvet has made a major comeback from the 70s & 90s. Thanks to labels like Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Valentino and more, velvet stormed the fall runways.
4. Military
Camouflage is the hottest trend this season. Burberry, Prada and Miu Miu all injected military influences into their fall collection 2016. Be sure to invest in one good army-like coat this season.
5. Over the knee boots
They are life savior and a total look changer. The whole look gets put together by just adding over the knee boots to your outfit. You can opt for black (basic), brown, grey or cognac boots in leather or suede for this fall.
6. Jumpers and Hoodies
Jumpers are best to layer up with anything. Put on a simple pinafore with a jumper and you're good to go. Also, we are all in luck as hoodies are still there in the fall 2016. Snuggle up in options brought to you by everyone from Lacoste to Alexander Wang and Anthony Vaccarello.
7. Fur Stoles
Designers have always a love affair with luxe fur stoles. It's perfect when you are in doubt about your outfit. Katie Ermilio, Monse all had fun with fur stoles on the runway.
8. Bomber Jackets
One of the best and most loved trend is the bomber trend. It is one of the hottest trends. You can never go wrong with a bomber. It keeps you cozy as well as stylish at the same time.
9. Snake-skin Boots
Be it ankle-length, knee-length or over the knees, it's all well appreciated. Snake-skin boots are the hottest trend this fall 2016. So, if you come across one, be sure not to miss the opportunity to buy it.
10. Reconstructed Denim
The biggest trend in jeans are the reconstructed denim and the uneven hem line. Cutting up the hem line of your old jeans is the idea. Designers are reinventing denim up by cutting and sewing different pairs of jeans together to create a unique and artsy vibe. Perfect pair to wear with your chunky ankle boots.
