Yes! We have all made it to the end of 2017 together. Just one day to go for 2018. I know all of you must be pretty excited for the coming year. All of you must be ready with new year resolutions, bucket lists, to-do lists and what not for 2018. To be very honest with you guys, I never come up with any resolutions and stuff ever. Somewhere, I just believe that each and every year will definitely surprise me up with something good and some lessons too. Also, New Year means that we get a slight excuse to party too because a little party never hurt anybody. In today's post, I'll be sharing two ways of styling kimono/cape (trending : kimono dress) which is also perfect for your NYE party too.

I'm wearing this beautiful floral print kimono/cape which has white piping on the sides and cinched my Off-white  belt at the waist. You can keep your makeup minimal or go a little over-board with full smoky eyes and bold lips. I grabbed my black single strap heels to pair it up with the kimono/cape. I just ended my look here but you can always play around a bit with your outfit. You can layer it up with a nice turtleneck sweater or a cami and wear a pair of denims or a mini skirt too. Also, a small box bag is a must for all your essentials because you don't want to lose any of your stuff.

Let's directly talk about today's post. I had to write down a post on everything red going on this season. Red is the new black. From runways to the streets, the fiery red is the hottest hue this season. Scarlet, maroon, crimson or for that matter, any shade of red is appreciated. The power color red is popping up on everything from leather jackets to denim jackets to bags to bottoms to shoes. You can opt for just one piece to be red in your outfit or you can go a bit crazy and opt for head to toe red outfit (not for the faint-hearted though).

I found this beautiful V-neck knit sweater in red at Sarojni Nagar. It was love at first sight with the sweater which would probably not happen in case of a guy ever. Also, layering is a great trend which keeps you warm too. So, I decided to layer my white turtleneck sweater underneath. For bottoms, I chose my side studded denims. To finish off the look, I wore my grey ankle boots and my crossbody bag with statement straps which are a big trend too. Also, I'm totally loving the clear frame glasses trend too.

Life has a very unique way of making you realize some particular things in your life. Sometimes, you end up in odd situations that you always wanted to avoid. You have this weird kind of feeling in which you are already scared that you might end up in the situation you are trying to avoid. But, as it is said, God has his own ways of sorting out things. He knows exactly how to soften up certain matters. Spoiler : God always wins over everything.

Coming back to the post of today, it's about a trek to Kheerganga with a cause. There is this NGO called Healing Himalayas Foundation which is run by Pradeep Sangwan. Their mission is to maintain cleanliness in the foothills of Himalayas, to develop comprehensive and holistic waste management programs that helps to protect people, roaming animals and the environment from toxic materials generated by plastic and general waste. Through their organization, they also create awareness of the need to take care for the environment surrounding Himalayas. They encourage the mass through clean up campaigns and promote healthy environmental practices in areas of the Himalayas. You can also volunteer to join their cleaning campaigns and  help them save the environment. 

So, I decided to join the cleaning drive to Kheerganga organized by Healing Himalayas Foundation and left for Kasol on the 28th of October. The trek had to be started the following day. All of us congregated on the 29th of October at Barshaini which is 4 kilometers from Manikaran. It's a 4-5 hours trek in total but we completed it in about 7 hours as we went up collecting all the plastic waste such as plastic bottles, wrappers of chips and candies. You are bound to be mesmerized by the view once you reach the top. Also, make sure to take a dip in the natural hot spring water which will make your body all relieved after all the walk up to that place. Though, I didn't take a bath in the hot spring water due to the nasty smell of sulphur. The next morning, we geared ourselves up and started off by collecting more of the plastic waste. It was time to walk back to the point from where we started off. You'll be amazed by the amount of waste we brought back. Also, I would like to mention here that I could not be of much help in the cleaning drive. It was a huge task in itself for me to complete the trek due to some health issues. But, I'm glad that I completed the trek and collected a bit of waste too without being sick during the whole cleaning drive.

I have a lot of thoughts in my mind that need to be put down in columns. There are so many different kind of things happening in my life right now. I wish penning down everything could just vanish all the worries and bring in all the happiness that everyone deserves. Life is unpredictable. Live your life and be a free bird. Do what you love and not what others want you to do. Also, I have been traveling a lot to the plains and then back to the mountains - my hometown.

This particular post had to be published a month ago but then better late than never, right?
Also, fall is not so far now. And, I'm loving the new AW'17 collection. Today, I'm sharing a very casual yet an all put together look with you guys. You'll find me wearing a casual blazer but I assure you that it's a very light one, perfect for those days when you want to bring a whole outfit together. A simple monochrome outfit can be glamorized by adding a blazer or a pair of cute heels or a cute bag. Accessories make a huge difference in an outfit. I grabbed the same old pair of black denims and a white crop top and teamed it up with this cool faded grey color casual blazer. I decided to go for a similar colored ankle boots and my cute cat-eye sunglasses. The makeup is all minimal with bold red lips and for a change, you'll find my hair in curls. Always remember to choose the right accessories for a chic look.

How are you all doing?
The altering weather is making my mood all nonchalant these days. This type of weather calls for sipping some good coffee at the backyard of your house but this ain't my cup of tea anyway. Instead, I like to dress in some cool outfits and explore new places.

I always share outfits in which I feel comfortable and can just roam around the whole day long. The same thing happened today. I woke up and opened up my closet to pick an outfit for the day as usual. It was then I saw my hoop belt lying there which was calling out to get styled. I threw on my trustworthy black denim and my hoop belt which is pure love with a cool slogan tee on the back which says, "Everything Is Not Enough". Also, I do agree that everything is not enough in this world for anyone. Humans do crave for more and more. Anyway, I wore my new favorite slides to keep it all casual yet chic. I do recommend you guys to get your hands on a pair of such comfy slides this season. Lastly, I'm loving my cute monster eyed backpack these days a lot. It's so convenient to throw in all my essentials such as my wallet, charger, earphones and yes, my camera fits in too which is a big yay yay for me. I'm dressed in an all black outfit, so, for those who can't handle all black outfits, I would ask them to get strong and deal with it.
