Hello everyone!
How have all of you been? It's been almost a year since I disappeared from here and stopped writing. Not exactly stopped writing but then I didn't feel like writing. I have been lying here on my bed with my laptop open and constantly staring at the blank screen and banging my head for almost about an hour now and just thinking about what to write and share with you guys. I mean there are tons and tons of things to be shared yet some particular things stay with me for some reason. Maybe, coming back is for good. I hope you all are enjoying summer/monsoon. I hope that you are living a little more, smiling a little more, embracing this life, no matter what.

Today, I am sharing with you my birthday outfit. It's been two long weeks since my birthday but then, it's about midi/maxi dresses. Midi/Maxi dresses made their way quietly into our lives and are here to stay for quite a long time now. They have a become a woman's best friend especially for those hot and humid days. It is so easy to just throw it on and walk out of the house for the day. I wore a black midi dress with small printed red flowers all over it. I got it from Sarojni Nagar which is a big steal because these dresses don't come cheap if bought from the stores. It has full sleeves with a V-neck and buttons on the front. It is a button down midi dress. To amp up the look, I decided to cinch my waist with a classic brown buckle belt. It gives shape to your body and makes you look well put together. A pair of an amazing footwear can do wonders to any outfit. I paired my midi dress with a pointed toe red ankle boots from Zara. If you ask me about the heels, they are super comfy. Lastly, to accessorise a bit, I got my oversized sunglasses and small hoop earrings from Shein and matched my bag which is from Zara with my boots. All the red was to match the small printed red flowers on my dress. Midi dresses are a boon to all the women who are lazy to dress up but still wanna look well put together.

Let's directly talk about today's post. I had to write down a post on everything red going on this season. Red is the new black. From runways to the streets, the fiery red is the hottest hue this season. Scarlet, maroon, crimson or for that matter, any shade of red is appreciated. The power color red is popping up on everything from leather jackets to denim jackets to bags to bottoms to shoes. You can opt for just one piece to be red in your outfit or you can go a bit crazy and opt for head to toe red outfit (not for the faint-hearted though).

I found this beautiful V-neck knit sweater in red at Sarojni Nagar. It was love at first sight with the sweater which would probably not happen in case of a guy ever. Also, layering is a great trend which keeps you warm too. So, I decided to layer my white turtleneck sweater underneath. For bottoms, I chose my side studded denims. To finish off the look, I wore my grey ankle boots and my crossbody bag with statement straps which are a big trend too. Also, I'm totally loving the clear frame glasses trend too.

I'm back with yet another post of Human Writes for you all. While we focus only on the struggles related to life, relations and career in our daily life, somewhere, we forget that the main struggle of being happy inside out. Ever wondered how so many things are happening around you in this crazily beautiful world? Life takes you through so many emotions. So many phenomenal experiences with places and people. You get in touch with people and places that become a part of you. You are a collection of these experiences - good and bad, and how amazingly you embrace that along with holding onto the best version of you.

Little piece of advice for all of you : Never stop dreaming. You are the best version of you that you'll ever see right now. It is healthy to map your lifestyle, your work and your relationship with people. But dreams are a refreshing break from this constant mapping of your life. They take you to places. They put a smile on your face. Dreaming is important. I am not telling you something you don't know. I am here to remind you all of this whilst you are busy working hard. I am here to remind you - whatever happens, always and always happens for the good. Just don't give up ever. Stay strong and stay happy.

It's been quite a long time since I updated my blog. My sincere apologies for not being active. To be honest, I wasn't caught up in any work or anything but it's just that I didn't feel like blogging for some time. I couldn't feel the urge to write down and share my heart with you guys. But, now that I am back, I'm here to stay and keep you guys updated with the latest of fashion world. Also, Whimsical Closet turned 1 this January. With Valentine's Day around the corner, I thought that I should come up with a date outfit for all the lovely ladies out there who are still struggling with their outfits. My kind of date outfit is more on the simple and comfortable side. I can't wear an uncomfortable dress and roam about the whole day long. Also, I don't go out on dates. Okay! So, I picked out this velvet slip dress (trending) as velvet (trending) is all over these days whether it be dresses, trousers, hoodies, bags, shoes etc. You can find velvet is everywhere from the streets to the high end brands, they have all got it. This black velvet slip dress with lace detailing at the neckline and the hemline is perfect for a date. I have styled it in two different ways.

The first look is for those of you who like to remain covered up but still like to show off a bit. Slip dresses are so popular these days and what better day to wear it on a date and flaunt it. I wore my white turtleneck sweater under the slip dress and teamed it up with a pair of chunky ankle boots. This look is so simple yet eye-catching. You can try different hairstyles but I like to keep my hair loose. Put on some red lipstick and you're good to go.

It's just that I'm not the real me these days. It's like I had given myself to someone. But, its hard that you'll be safe there. So, its better to lock yourself up far from all the things that don't value you. I know most of the people don't share their feelings with the world or their close ones. But, it's the opposite for me and has always been. I've always been an open book. I like sharing my feelings. It kind of makes me strong because if  I can just open up myself, I'm sure gonna recover from it soon. It's not that hard, right? Still, easy to say, hard to tackle with. Sometimes, life's not that easy as it seems to be. After all, life's always been temporary for me. One day, it will all be gone and we'll all turn into ashes. So, live with no regrets. I'm letting go my regret today, so should you all. Let go of the things that make you sad and don't value you. It's already time to start afresh and be happy. Again, easy to say but believe me, it'll be all gone soon. Sadness, happiness, anxiety, frustration etc. are all temporary and always come and go. You need to stay strong, no matter what. That's the whole point of it, it makes you strong and makes you believe that you can overcome all of it and make it to a brand new day. Memories, they are not good. You just can't get rid of them. They keep coming back and haunt you to death. Just be happy and remember, only you can cheer yourself up. It's you who has it all to make things right and joyous.

Start from yourself and cheer everyone up. Be happy.

Finally, I'm back with a long awaited outfit post for you guys. The past 2-3 months have been so hard. I was completely lost in some other world from where I haven't returned yet. It's like I've been searching for the broken pieces to complete the puzzle of life. But, there's still no victory for me. Sometimes, it gets damn difficult to explain everything going on in your head. I just want to sit down with that one person and pour my heart out but, then suddenly I realize I just can't. That's exactly life, I guess.

Coming back to today's post, this SS'16 has been so great. We had such great trends to follow and get inspired from. I just hope some of the trends make their way with us to 2017. Dungarees, Pinafores, Slip Dress, A-line skirts etc. have been all over the fashion world this season. I so want them all to stay with us for some more time. In today's post, you'll find me wearing this corduroy dungaree which is so much fun. I threw on a ribbed stripey (I live for everything stripey and black) turtleneck crop top and slipped into this cute dungaree. For that fall vibe, you just need a perfect pair of ankle boots and you're ready to celebrate the day. You can also opt for knee or thigh high boots and throw over a bomber jacket, if you live in a colder region. Also, you guys know, how much I love sunglasses, right? But, instead, I wore a pair of clear aviator glasses (trending) for this look.

I hope you all are in the best of your health and are doing great.
I'm so sorry for being inactive for the past 2 weeks. I've been out of town due to some college issues & I also had a function to attend.  I've been dying to write and post so badly. I've been in Chandigarh for the past few days and it just feels so nice and refreshing to be back here every once in a while. Blogging is slowly & gradually becoming a part of my life. I've been enjoying writing, posting and sharing stuff with ya'll. I've noticed that I've become more observant to things. Lately, I have been jotting down all the things that I like throughout the month and have been keeping note of it. Anyway, I'm back with some of my February favorites. I'm enjoying this favorites thing a lot. It helps me keep an account of all the things that I like and dislike. I think everyone should try this once as it helps to remain more organized with your stuff and you'll also be able to keep good care of all the things that you own.

My first favorite up are these knee-ripped jeans. I'm in love with them. It's so comfy that I can live in them. I know jeans don't sound comfy but trust me on this one. They are high-waisted and are obviously black (my fav color). I bought it from Forever 21 (Citywalk-Saket, Delhi). F21 gives you a wide range of bottoms, you just need to find the perfect piece that fits you. I don't have a picture of my pair of jeans but they are similar to these one.



I bought this nail paint just a few days ago but ever since I applied it, I've been loving it. It's the perfect maroon any girl can wish for. It's a bit light maroon in just one coat, so, you need to apply 2 coats to get that maroon it promises. It's the brand Faces and it comes in the shade 'marooned-421'. It doesn't wear off soon and if you apply a top coat, you're good to go for atleast a week.


Talking about favorites, I had to mention my knee-high boots. I thrifted them last October and I'm so happy I got my hands on them. You can team them up with almost anything. A pair of black, white, blue or any jeans you like, midi dress, LBD or any other dress you'd like to pair it up with.



Ever since 'Pillowtalk' came out, I've been drooling over this song. How can someone be so perfect?? And, I'm saying this for Gigi Hadid and not for Zayn Malik. I love that lady to the moon and back. Yes, I also love the song and it's been on my playlist since day one. It's such a soothing song and fills you with joy. Do listen to it if you still haven't.


Lastly, I'm going to talk about a dupe for my Chambor Velvette Touch Lip Liner Pencil. I was searching for a cheaper lip liner in the market and then, I came across this Swiss Beauty Glimmer Lip Liner. It's in the shade red and I must say, it's a great alternate. I just used it once until now and so far, I love it. It stays on the whole day and is super amazing.

As last time, I seriously had no clue what to blog about even this week. But then, there are tons of things to do and feel good about. People do find happiness even in the minute things that life bestows upon them. This time I decided to do a January favorites post. I know that i am a little late for this favorites stuff but better late than never. Right?

I have been loving my Chambor Velvette Touch Lip Liner pencil in the shade 228. It's the perfect red any girl can ask for. Basically, its a lip liner but I use it as a full lip filler. Its so smooth and glides as soon as it touches the lips. It doesn't wear off and stays on the whole day long. I swear by it and as they say, when in doubt, wear red.



Speaking of favorites, how can I forget to mention my black sweater. Its the perfect turtle-neck and goes with everything. Whenever I can't find what to match my stuff with, I wear my black sweater (I always wear it and tbh, I got no clothes man!!) Its a thrift find and I totally love it :)




Relaxing and sipping on some coffee is liked by everyone but sipping on some green tea is my kind of thing. I have been loving this green tea from China (XI HU LONG JING) Its not similar to the other Indian brands in taste and has got a leafy texture. I believe it completely detoxifies my body and makes me feel cleansed ;)



I am completely in love with my sling bag from Jabong (online shopping site). Its the perfect black bag with some python skin detailing in between. And, my favorite part is that it replicates the Chanel Boy Bag. Yes Yes, I know Chanel is just too much to ask for but hey it makes me happy to think this way. So YaY! !




And to finish off I'm adding my favorite snack. Snack favorites do change every once in a while but Piknik has been my all time favorite. Since childhood times, I've been snacking on them and to this date, I love them.
